A credit card is required at the time of booking and is subject to terms and conditions specified in the guarantee, cancellation, and no-show policy of the rate description. Maximum of 4 guests permitted per room with double beds, and 3 guests permitted per room with a king bed. Guests must be at least 21 years old to book a reservation.
Credit & Debit Card Policy
Debit and credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the length of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorized amount will be held until check-out, at which time the actual charges incurred during the stay will be processed. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution. The hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
Check-In
Check-in time is after 4:00 PM.
The minimum age requirement for check-in is 21.
All reservations will be held until 10:00 PM on the date of arrival.
Guests arriving after 10:00 PM must contact The Charleston Place in advance to arrange for late check-in.
A credit card is required at the time of check-in.
A $100 per night deposit will be preauthorized for any incidentals.
Check-Out
Check-out time is 12:00 PM.
Payment must be rendered in full at the time of checkout.
Early Arrivals
We are happy to accommodate early arrivals before 4:00 PM, subject to availability. We will make every effort to get guests in earlier than the quoted check-in time, but there may be circumstances that will prevent us from doing so. Therefore, it will be noted as a “request” based on availability.
Cancellations
Please note that our cancellation policy varies based on seasonality and the package booked. It will be listed in the booking engine and your confirmation email. To cancel or modify your reservation, please call 800-611-5545.
Modifying Your Reservation
Note that a change in the length or dates of your reservation may result in a rate change. All communication in relation to your reservations and on your property itinerary will be confirmed in writing, including any modifications.
Pets
We welcome pets of all sizes at The Charleston Place. Please let our reservations team know if you plan on bringing your furry friend so we can ensure that they are well taken care of. Pets are not permitted in restaurants and bars on the property, nor may they be left unattended in guest rooms. Pet sitters are available through the Concierge.
Parking
The Charleston Place offers valet parking at the hotel’s main entrance, located at 201 Meeting Street. Valet parking is available at $62 per night.
Tesla and universal charging stations are available for guest use.
For guests planning to self-park, nearby City of Charleston garages are conveniently located within walking distance, including:

Pool & Hot Tub Policy
*Please note that the rooftop pool and hot tub are closed until Summer 2026 as part of our ongoing Reimagination.
The pool at The Charleston Place is exclusively for registered hotel guests. We respect the privacy of our guests and the quiet and relaxing nature of our pool. Visitors of guests are not permitted on our pool deck. No glassware or coolers are allowed in the pool area. Cover-ups and footwear are required inside the hotel. Slippers and robes are available in each of the hotel’s guest rooms. Children 12 and under must be supervised by an adult at all times. No water toys of any kind are permitted in the pool. Jumping and excessive splashing are also not allowed.
Rollaway Beds
Rollaway beds are available upon request and are subject to availability.
Dress Code
Proper attire, including shirts and shoes are required in all hotel facilities, including restaurants.
Smoking Policy
The Charleston Place is a 100% smoke-free property. A $300 per day cleaning fee will be charged for smoking in any indoor spaces, balconies, or outdoor patios.

Photography Policy
To protect the privacy and experience of all guests, photography at any BHC property is subject to the following guidelines:
Guidelines:
- Guests of the hotel are welcome to take personal photos in public areas.
- Professional photography is only permitted in connection with a booked event at The Charleston Place and must be arranged in advance.
- Event photography requests require at least 14 days’ notice.
- Unauthorized professional photoshoots will not be permitted.
- No production or photoshoot equipment is allowed unless part of an approved filming or production.
- Drones are strictly prohibited unless licensed and pre-approved by hotel management.
- Photography is only allowed in designated areas.
- To respect guest privacy, photos inside or around the hotel should not prominently feature other guests.
- Photographers may not rope off or reserve any part of the property.

Our Resort Experience Fee Includes:
Welcome drink and arrival amenity upon check-in, curated in-room coffee service refreshed daily, afternoon refreshments served daily, high-speed Wi-Fi throughout guestrooms, public spaces, and meeting areas, nightly turndown service, house car service for drop-offs within a 15-block radius (subject to availability), exclusive access to our BMW fleet for complimentary test drives (subject to availability), priority reservations across Beemok Hospitality Collection restaurants, preferred access to seasonal events and curated programming, and dedicated Concierge services for both personal and conference needs.
Additional amenities include bottled, sustainably sourced refillable water bottles; access to pool and fitness center facilities featuring infused water and whole fruit stations; priority reservations at our spa; city cruiser bicycles for exploring Charleston at your own pace; exclusive access to BHC’s Hinckley experiences; and access to electric vehicle charging stations. A daily amenity fee of $40 plus tax will be applied to your guest room folio.

Use & Acceptance
By purchasing or using a Charleston Place Hotel Gift Card, you agree to these terms and conditions.
Where to Use
Gift Cards can be used at The Charleston Place Hotel, including The Palmetto Cafe, The Thoroughbred Club, Meeting at Market, and Community Perk.
Balance & Expiration
- Gift Cards never expire.
- A $2 monthly fee applies after 24 months of inactivity until the card is used again.
Redemption & Restrictions
- Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash, refunds, or credit (except where required by law).
- They cannot be used to purchase additional Gift Cards.
Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Cards
Lost, stolen, or unauthorized Gift Cards will not be replaced.
Resale & Fraud
- Gift Cards may not be resold or purchased through unauthorized vendors.
- The Charleston Place Hotel reserves the right to cancel any fraudulent cards.
Other Terms
- The Charleston Place Hotel is not responsible for unauthorized use of Gift Cards.
- Terms are subject to change and will be updated at charlestonplace.com/giftcardterms.

Dispute Resolution
For U.S. residents, disputes must be resolved through binding arbitration or small claims court, in accordance with applicable law. Non-U.S. residents may submit disputes in writing to legal@beemok.com.
