The health and safety of our guests and our team is of paramount importance. Please take a moment to review our COVID-19 Healthy and Safety Protocols, which have been developed in concert with those set by the CDC.  We will continue to evolve these protocols as needed

Booking Policy

A credit card is required at the time of booking and is subject to terms and conditions specified in the guarantee, cancellation, and no-show policy of the rate description. Maximum of 4 guests permitted per room with double beds, and 3 guests permitted per room with a king bed. Must be 21 years of age to book your reservation.

Credit & Debit Card Policy

Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check-out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution, and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.

Check-In

Check-in time is after 4:00 pm.

The minimum age requirement for check-in is 21.

All reservations will be held until 10:00 pm the date of the reservation.

Late arrivals should contact The Charleston Place in advance where a late arrival would be agreed upon in writing.

A credit card is required at the time of check-in.

A $100 per night deposit will be preauthorized for any incidentals.

Check-Out

Check-out time is 12:00 pm.

Payment must be rendered in full at the time of check-out.

Early Arrivals

We will be delighted to accommodate early arrivals, prior to 4:00 pm, based on availability. We will make every effort to get guests in earlier than the quoted check-in time, but there may be circumstances that will prevent us from doing so. Therefore, it will be noted as a “request” based on availability.

Cancellation

Please note, our cancellation policy varies based on seasonality and package booked. It will be listed accordingly in the booking engine and in your confirmation email. To cancel or modify your reservation, please call 800-611-5545.

Modifying Your Reservation

Note that a change in the length or dates of your reservation may result in a rate change. All communication in relation to your reservations and on your property itinerary will be confirmed in writing including any modifications.

Pets

Pets of all shapes and sizes are welcome at The Charleston Place. Please let our reservations team know if you plan on bringing your furry friend so we can ensure that they are well taken care of. Pets are not permitted in the restaurants and bars, and unattended in the guest rooms. Pet sitters are available through the concierge.

Parking

The Charleston Place offers valet parking only. Valet parking is $52 per night. The hotel has three electric car stations: two Tesla and one universal. For non-valet, a City of Charleston parking garage is located adjacent to the hotel, accessible from the hotel’s Meeting and Hasell Street entrances.

Pool & Hot Tub Policy

The Charleston Place pool is intended for the use of our guests only. We respect the privacy of our guests and the quiet and relaxing nature of our pool. Visitors of guests are not permitted on our pool deck. No glassware or coolers are allowed in the pool area. Cover-ups and footwear are required inside the hotel. Slippers and robes are available in each of the hotel’s guest rooms. If you are traveling with children 12 and under, they are required to have adult supervision. No water toys of any kind are permitted in the pool, including jumping or splashing of any kind.

Rollaway Beds

Rollaway beds are available, based on availability. However, some suites have sofa beds. 

Dress Code

Shoes and shirts are required in our facilities, including the restaurants.

Smoking Policy

The Charleston Place is a 100% smoke-free property. A $300 per day cleaning fee will be charged to the guest’s account should smoking occur in any indoor spaces, balconies, or outdoor patios.

We have specific ADA rooms and equipment available to provide you the assistance you may need. Should you have additional questions, please contact our reservations department who will be able to provide you with personal attention for any requirements you may have.

Photography

The Charleston Place is committed to creating lasting memories for each of our guests. Please follow the following guidelines to ensure the safety and privacy of all our guests.  

The Charleston Place will only consider photographer access to the property if associated with a booked event that requires space and includes all fees that correspond to the event. To inquire about planning an event that includes photography, please submit a photography event inquiry by emailing marketing@charlestonplace.com or by contacting Concierge.

The following guidelines remain in place:

We do not allow the sole use of the property for photos. 

A minimum of 14 days advance notice for an event is requested.  

The Charleston Place will refuse professional photos taken without approval.  

No production/photoshoot equipment is allowed unless part of an approved filming/production. 

Drones are not permitted – unless approved and adequately licensed in advance as part of the event. 

Spaces allowed with authorization include the hotel grounds.

For guest privacy and experience, no photos are allowed to be taken inside or around the hotel or prominently feature the structure in the background as they may capture guests who do not want to be included. 

Approved photographers are not allowed to rope off or claim a stake to a piece of property.
